I usually do not write a blog post with only two images, but this one was just too darned funny to pass up. The other day I was editing images in my home office when my wife called out to me to come over to the family room with my camera. I wondered what she wanted me to shoot, so I grabbed the camera and went out to see what was going on. There is front of me, was one dirty little dog!
I guess this is what happens when you don't give a puppy enough
attention. He went on a little digging expedition in the back yard. We would have been really mad about the 6 inch hole that Cooper dug in the grass, but he was so darned cute that we just laughed about this. I tried shooting images through the glass door but they weren't good enough, so I risked my clean clothes, opened the door and shot some images of the guilty little guy. I just love the way that the mud covered his paws and was perfectly placed on his face, with just a touch above his eyes. We could not have done a better make-up job if we had tried.
After getting some cute pictures, it was time to give Cooper a good bath. My wife then grabbed a blow dryer and went to work on him. I had fun taking more photos as he stared down my wife while getting coiffed.
What is the lesson here? Well...I guess if you are a photographer, the lesson would be to have your camera ready at all times. And...if you are the owner of a puppy, don't leave them alone for a second! :)
