The Winter Olympics in Milan - It all starts HERE!

For the last year or so, almost every time I talk about the upcoming Olympics, people here in the United States say "Aren't those in LA in the Summer of 2028?" With all the hype here in the states, a lot of people forgot about the Winter Olympics. Not me. I have been in planning mode for almost two years and now I am less than 6 weeks away from heading over to Milan. 

Yesterday I flew back home from another trip to see a UPS envelope waiting for me at the house, and I knew what that was - it was my credentials for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan! I will be photographing for Team USA, focusing on men's and women's ice hockey. This is a sport that is near and dear to me, as I still play once a week and love everything about the sport. 

If you have been following the blog for many years, you know that this is always a day that I look forward to. Now all the planning and scheduling starts to become real. And before any of you comment and say "you don't look very happy in the photo", remember that this photo is like a passport photo and we can not smile. Trust me, as I am about to embark on my 9th Olympic adventure, I am smiling for sure.

I just added a placeholder to the Olympic page on my website where you will be able to see all my favorite images from Milan, and of course I will be blogging daily from the Games. And do not worry, I do not use your email for anything other than the blog posts.

I have a couple more blog posts coming out that are not Olympic related and then will go full blown Olympic coverage starting in a couple of weeks. The Opening Ceremony is on February 6th. Get ready as the fun begins once again!
