2012 Summer Olympics: Greco Roman Wrestling

Yesterday I made a visit to the venue where they had Greco Roman Wrestling. I can't say that I have ever seen this before, so it was interesting to visit and get some shots. Some people have asked me how close we are to the action. Put it this way, in this venue I think we were way too close. The smell of body odor was overwhelming (although not sure if it was from the wrestlers or the other photographers around me).

OK - now for the images.

I saw this guys right eye, which was almost closed, and thought that it would make a good opening shot.

The guy in blue must have popped something in his leg, because you can see the pain in his face right after he made a move.

And I think that his Olympic dreams were over. Very sad.

A nice take-down.

One of my favorite shots of this sport.

OK - I am done shooting water polo for the day and I am off and running to the Olympic Stadium for the first time since Opening Ceremonies.
