It's Prom season - How to take great photos of your kids!

For all of you who are about to take prom photos of your child, I wanted to repost a blog that I wrote 4 years ago. All the information is still relevant and a lot of you have been asking for this advice.

Regardless of whether you are using a nice DSLR camera or just your smart phone, many of tips are the same.

* Find a good shady location
* Avoid distractions in the background
* Find a unique spot for the photos
* Recommendations for group shots

You can find the blog post HERE.

I hope that this helps all of you get better photos!

Jeff, first of all, thank you for the Prom advise. I read this article right before going out to take prom photos a couple weekends ago.
I'm looking for some advise on how to watermark my photos more efficiently. When I edit with Photoshop its easy enough as an extra step. Wondering if you use something faster? Batch etc?
Reason for asking is related to this news story. So if you look at the news today about Keziah Daum Prom Dress. Those are my photos, that I took with your advise fresh in my head. I didn't watermark my name due to time constraints. Now I wish I had. I guess it's a lesson learned. I notice that you even watermark your cell phone pictures. Wasn't sure how else to reach you. I love and admire your work. Best regards.
