2012 Summer Olympics: USA Women's Water Polo vs. China

Last night, the women of USA Water Polo beat the Chinese team to assure the Americans a spot in the quarterfinals. Here are the images from last night's game.

China took an early lead with a couple of strong goals.

There are always a lot of American fans in the stands and they erupt in applause whenever the team scores.

A great stop by the American goal tender.

A happy American team after a come from behind win.

I was getting ready to pack up my cameras to head into the mixed zone (where they interview the athletes) and I noticed the the Head Coach of the US team was saying hello to his family. I quickly grabbed one of my cameras and ran over to shoot this. It was technically against the rules for me to be back on the pool deck after the game, but I am so glad that I ran out there to get this shot for him and the family.

Tomorrow is the quarterfinal match. Go USA!
